A dream and a place where you can feel new emotions, in an atmosphere full of history. The location is the Farmhouse Tower of Maiano, on the hills of Fiesole (Florence), which has been completely restored thanks to the Architect Simone Micheli and the customer, the Count Francesco Miari Fulcis.
A neo-Gothic style Tower which was built by Sir John Temple Leader between 1870 and 1894. Recently, it has been converted in a precious suite equipped with all comforts and a minimal style which does not undermine its inner artistic beauties.
The project was presented during the Milano Design Week in 2015 through an interactive tour and it involved different international companies, among them Callesella with its Contract division.
The kitchen is our creation, located on the ground floor of the Tower.
According to Simone Micheli’s project, we provided the two main elements which characterize the kitchen and living space. The first one is the linear wall furniture-block with concealed fridge-freezer, integrated hob and doors with both handles and push&pull opening.
The second one is the peninsula shaped block open on the living room, with counter tops and sink. The specific folded manufacturing panels provide a surface without joints or edges. Working tops are in white solid surface, holes and plinths in aluminium with shiny inox finishing.
The material which levels out the design choice is the brushed fir solid wood with horizontal veining in lacquered matt white-cream finishing.
